Three winners and three judges at the fourth Tibetan Investment Award Competition
The three winners and three judges. Penpa Tsering is at the far left of the group.

At the 4th Annual Tibetan Investment Award Competition, 15 lakhs in grant funding was given out to the winners. These are real entrepreneurs solving real problems in their communities.

I had the privilege to announce the award for Mr. Penpa Tsering.

Mr. Tsering has 22 years experience as a tractor repairman. His proposal was for 7 lakhs to buy his own tractor and start a business harvesting maize in the 3000 acres around his Tibetan settlement (200 km from Bangalore).

His business pitch was simple, clear and his deep knowledge came through so well in the humble reasoning he had for starting this new venture.
