GitHub contribution heatmaps for 2016, 2017, and 2018
My GitHub contribution history, 2016–2018.

Looking back at my GitHub contribution history from 2016–2018: many nights and weekends teaching myself to code Ruby on Rails and CSS to launch university innovation projects and a few early-stage startup MVPs.

Back then, every small feature felt like a puzzle. Lots of googling, stack overflow…endless trial and error.

I hadn’t opened a terminal in years. Until recently. I’m back at it on weekends using OpenAI’s Codex and OpenClaw, and I’m blown away by what’s possible now.

It also reminds me of all learners we support through the TCC Skills Lab: showing up on nights and weekends, trying things, and building new skills.
